Who has to pay which application and registration fees?

There’s an Office and fees finder on the Immigration New Zealand website and you can also download a Fees Guide PDF. The leaflet will “give you information on the fees that Immigration New Zealand charges for processing your application/ registration, who has to pay fees, and how you can pay”.

Certificates you need for immigration: costs and validity

IELTS certificate

IELTS: International English Language Testing System.

Fee: 170 Euro (in Dortmund, Germany)
Valid: 2 years

IQA - International Qualification Assessment

This report produced by the NZQA - New Zealand Qualifications Authority assesses the level of your qualification and includes a full verification of the qualification. The standard assessment process within NZQA will take 35 working days, the fast track assessment process 20 working days.

Fees:

  • Standard application fee (mandatory): NZ$450
  • Fast track application fee (optional): NZ$150
  • Courier fee (return of your original documents): NZ$36
  • Replacement copy (optional): NZ$50
  • + costs for official translation of your documents to English
  • + costs for officially certified copies of documents
